The Kepes photo collage has four elements and was a mock-up Kepes made when he was working on putting together his major book Language of Vision (1944). All elements are illustrated in the book (page numbers for images in parenthesis). The collage on upper left is by Kepes and the lower right is a photograph of a collage by Kepes, what Moholy-Nagy would call a fotoplastik. The lower left is a photograph/photogram by Levstik (a teacher at the New Bauhaus).
