The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Bon état général. Revêtement métallique légèrement manquant sur le pourtour supérieur de la crête et extrémité gauche, avec fissure sur le revêtement. Petits clous manquants sur la partie médiane de la crête. Petits trous visibles sur le revêtement de l’aile gauche. Quelques lamelles de métal manquantes et desserrées sur le visage (deux recollées). Bande horizontale des yeux fissurée du côté droit ; bande médiane desserrée et fissurée sur la bordure inférieure. Pointe du nez renfoncée. Petit clou manquant sur la partie basse du visage. Pendeloques avec revêtement métallique desserré ; idem au cou avec des manques. A l’arrière, crête cassée recollée du côté droit et ébréchée à l’extrémité gauche. Légers éclats sur le relief central. Cou avec de légères fissures visibles et petits éclats en dessous. Base manquante. Patine et couleur du cuivre oxydéconforme à son ancienneté et à l’utilisation répétée de l’œuvre.

Good overall condition. The metal covering is slightly missing along the upper edge of the crest and at the left tip, with a crack in the covering. Small nails are missing from the central part of the crest. Small holes are visible in the covering of the left wing. Several metal strips are missing or loose on the face (two have been reattached). The horizontal band of the eyes is cracked on the right side; the central band is loose and cracked along its lower edge. The tip of the nose is depressed. A small nail is missing on the lower part of the face. The pendants have loose metal covering, with similar losses at the neck. On the reverse, the crest is broken and re-glued on the right side and chipped at the left tip. Minor chips are present on the central relief. The neck shows slight visible cracks and small chips underneath. The base is missing. The patina and oxidised copper colour are consistent with the age and repeated use of the piece.
