The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Bon état général. Abrasions visibles sur l’ensemble de la surface. Le nez est cassé à deux endroits : au niveau de l’œil puis à la jonction avec le ventre. Les deux casses sont restaurées et consolidées (clou sur la partie basse du nez). L’oiseau droit est partiellement manquant. Celui à l’extrémité gauche est cassé/recollé à la jonction avec le second. De multiples fissures sont visibles sur l’ensemble dont une plus importante à gauche du ventre. Jambe gauche cassée avec bouts manquants. Abrasion aux extrémités du “carré” et sur les pourtours de la base avec éclats et légères fissures. À l’arrière-fissure visible du cot droit à deux endroits. Une partant du sommet, une seconde partant du carré supérieur droit. Plusieurs légères fissures visibles à l'arrière. Erosion visible sur le nez, les oreilles, la crête et l’arête nasale. Oreille droite de l’animal cassé/recollée, la gauche légèrement fissurée en son centre. Patine conforme à l’ancienneté et à l’utilisation répétée de l’œuvre.

Good condition overall. Visible scuffs over the entire surface. The beak is broken in two places: at the eye and at the junction with the belly. Both breaks have been restored and reinforced (with a nail on the lower part of the beak). The right bird is partially missing. The one at the far left is broken and has been reattached at the junction with the second bird. Multiple cracks are visible throughout, including a larger one to the left of the belly. Left leg broken with missing ends. Abrasion at the ends of the “square” and around the base with chips and slight cracks. At the back, a crack is visible on the right side in two places: one starting from the top, a second starting from the upper right square. Several slight cracks are visible on the back. Wear is visible on the nose, ears, crest, and nasal ridge. The animal’s right ear is broken and reattached; the left ear is slightly cracked in the center. The patina is consistent with the piece’s age and repeated use
