The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Some scratches and nicks to the metal, consistent with normal wear.
- Additional marks: London hallmarks for platinum, date letter 'd' for 2003, sponsor's mark 'B&D' for Boodle & Dunthorne, '5.37' referring to the carat weight of the principal stone, indistinct rubbed number.
- Diamonds: 5.37 carats (GIA) - measures 14.37 x 12.45 x 5.78 mm, no fluorescence, assessed by the department to have faint to medium fluorescence. Remaining diamonds total weight approximately 0.30 - 0.40 carat.
