The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Some small scratches and nicks to the metal, consistent with normal wear. Evidence of solder and traces of tarnish.
- Metal unsigned. One of the earring backings with indistinct French maker's mark.
- Emeralds: measure approximately 14.70 x 11.65 x 6.40 mm and approximately 15.10 x 11.25 x 5.60 mm (SSEF), with typical natural inclusions, a few surface reaching, scratches and nicks to the facets and girdle throughout, one emerald with a more noticeable chip leading from the girdle to the pavilion facets, slightly disturbing the outline. Total weight approximately 9.00 - 10.00 carats. Claw settings possibly later than diamond surmount.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 5.00 - 6.00 carats, assessed to be on average H to J colour, VS to SI clarity.
