The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Scratches to the metal throughout, mesh in good condition overall, a few small links missing. Some small areas of tarnish. Ball clasp closes securely.
- Nylon net lining partly detached from the frame and with stained area to one corner.
- Additional marks: loops attaching the chain to the frame stamped 750.
- Submitted to the GCS Laboratory and a verbal report states '18 carat gold - surface analysis on 3 spots chosen randomly'.
