The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Wear commensurate with age. Some small evidence of repair and areas of tarnish. Clasp secure.
- Additional marks: French import marks for gold.
- Pearls: of white to cream body colour, some soft green and rose overtones, round, near round and barrel-shaped, with some blemishes, pitting and wear to nacre.
- Rubies and emeralds: with numerous typical inclusions, some surface reaching, some with scratches, nicks and some chips throughout, with possibly a few replacement stones, one small ruby towards the clasp deficient.
- Diamonds: of decorative quality.
