The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
- Overall condition good. Some scratches and small nicks to the metal throughout, consistent with normal wear. The brooch with small traces of solder and minor evidence of repair, with traces of glue residue to the pearls. Pendant with suspension loop to the reverse, brooch with single pin fitting and safety catch.
- Additional marks (pendant): London hallmarks for 18 carat gold, date letter 'r' for 1972, 750, sponsor's mark 'JAD' for John Donald.
- Additional marks (brooch): London hallmarks for 18 carat gold, date letter 'r' for 1972, 750, sponsor's mark 'MAG' for Martin Alan Gard.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 1.40 - 1.60 carats, assessed to be on average I to K colour, mainly SI clarity, a few I clarity.
- Pearls: of cream body colour, with rose and green overtones, a few small blemishes.
