The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Wear commensurate with age. Later single brooch fitting, with safety catch.
- Additional marks: later Austrian marks for silver and gold.
- Pink topaz: measures approximately 29.60 x 19.00 x 12.50 mm, calculated to weigh approximately 55.00 - 65.00 carats, with some typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, some minor scratches and small nicks to the pavilion facets.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 7.00 - 8.00 carats, assessed to be on average I to J colour, a few K colour, VS to SI clarity.
