The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
- Overall condition good. Scratches and nicks to the metal throughout. The reverse crinkled and the sides with dents consistent with regular wear. The lid opens but the closing mechanism not currently working. Mirror moves in the setting, but set securely; with fractures to the bottom left, a few dark spots of tarnish throughout, a few more prominent spots to the centre. Traces of tarnish throughout, in particular to the inner frame.
- Additional marks: 750, scratched Italy.
- Submitted to the London Assay Office and a verbal report states '75% or more gold - surface analysis on 7 spots'.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 0.90 - 1.00 carat, assessed to be on average J to K colour, VS to SI clarity.
