The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Some small scratches and nicks to the metal, consistent with normal wear. Some small areas of tarnish throughout, the interior of the lid with more prominent areas of tarnish. Closing mechanism slightly stiff.
- With oblong handle to the reverse.
- Additional marks: French assay mark for 18 carat gold, 750, maker's marks 'P S 2 crossed ears of wheat A B' for Pierre Brun SA and 'Maltese Cross' for Vacheron Constantin.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 1.30 - 1.60 carats, assessed to be on average H to I colour, VS to SI clarity.
