The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Van Cleef & Arpels cultured pearl and diamond necklace:
- Overall condition good. Some small scratches to the metal, consistent with normal wear. Clasp secure,
- Additional marks: French assay marks for 18 carat gold, maker's mark 'D & saddle Cie' for Dumont et Compagnie.
- Cultured pearls: of cream body colour, with rose and green overtones, round, with some tiny blemishes.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 1.70 - 1.90 carats, assessed to be on average I to J colour, VS to SI clarity.

Cultured pearl and diamond ring:
- Overall condition good. Some scratches and nicks to the metal throughout, consistent with normal wear. Some evidence of solder and repair to the rope twist detail.
- Metal unsigned.
- Cultured pearl: of cream body colour, with green overtones, round, with some blemishes, the reverse with a more noticeable blemish.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 0.15 - 0.25 carat.
