Mus Singh holding a katar :
This folio has some losses around the edges, the worst on the right hand side of the folio, affecting an area about 4cm. long. The page also suffers from considerable water staining, as visible in the catalogue image, and some minor spot staining. There is one long diagonal tear around 5cm. long that emerges from the right hand side of the folio. There are further small creases. The back has been reinforced around many of the edges with tape. There are numerous later owner's marks in pen and pencil.
Mir Jumla in saluting pose :
This folio shows some losses around the edges and more sustain loss to the corners. The beard and turban shows very light strokes of white pigments now flaked, dulled and degraded leaving minimal brown and rust coloured traces. The sketch is otherwise clean. Some ink from inscriptions and stamps behind have soaked through. The reverse with pencil attributions, barred collection stamped and collection numbers.
Ram Singh, with green turban :
The corners are very lightly scuffed. This drawing presents as clean. The reverse with a defaced collection stamp in blue ink, collection numbers and a very loose inscription in black ink.
A noble on a terrace :
The edges and corners are lightly scuffed. the upper edge is taped tot he reverse. The lower corner shows some remains of framing corners. the lower edge shows some remains of red and green pigments. the upper right edge shows some light damage, most likely caused by damp. there is a small area of discolouration to the left of the work, opposite the ruler's head, close to the margins. The reverse with barred collection stamp and collection numbers in blue and black ink.
