The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel presents as clean despite and overall consistent tarnished appearance. There are areas of darker staining mainly located around the winged cobras, the pedestal and the lower panel. The textile applique panels show some broken weave. This can be seen to the pedestal, lotus stand and lower register of this lot. Water staining also affects an area close to and on the right ankle of the standing figure. The red borders shows further water staining and traces of perforation, possibly of a previous hanging or basic mounting.
