Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
There are losses of pigments around the edges of the painting. These losses have mostly been repainted. This repainting affects the green robe of the figure of the attendant standing to the right behind the two female attendants (mostly the figure's back). There are some small patches of repainting on the red robe of one of the two young princes. The figures and particularly the faces are well preserved otherwise. The top left corner is repainted. There are scuff marks around the edges, mostly along the bottom edge.
There are remains of a Persian inscription in black nasta'liq script above the canopy which has been erased. Some small water drop stains in the upper part (along the bottom edge of the canopy). The border of gold foliage is well preserved.
