Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the first painting depicting a lady in a transparent choli braiding her hair, a grey background behind, verso with an elegant black nasta'liq quatrain and couplet in clouds reserved against gold ground, signed 'Abd al-Karim, the second painting depicting a lady holding sparklers, the verso with an elegant nasta'liq quatrain in similar clouds decorated with gold palmettes and scrolling vine on gold ground, signed Ahmad al-Husayni, each album page with gold scrolling vine borders, on wide gold speckled margins
