The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This painting presents as clean overall. The pigments remain strong and crisp overall. There is a small area of scuffing and light damage behind the musician playing the percussion, with a discoloration of the grey pigments. There are some minor losses in a rectilinear area to the right part of the sky and amidst the gilt cloud above the green hills. To the left can be noticed some light scuffs. The margins shows some rubbed and, in placed, discoloured brown pigments and are scuffed with some visible joints over each scuffed and creased corners.
