The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
As visible on the catalogue image the painting is damaged along its right and top borders. There are losses of pigments behind the seated figure of the saint. The two musicians are damaged with heavy losses of pigments. This was probably caused by damp. The condition is stable however. Some of the details of the trees and the face of the seated saint are very fine. The reverse as an old inscription in Persian identifying the scene. The painting would benefit from professional mounting.
