The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Zerilli:
The paper is slightly stained and dirty overall , but the drawing is in overall rather good condition.
The drawing is executed on wove paper and not laid down. There are strips of acidic tape at the edges of the verso. There are some scattered water stains and there are four pinholes just right of the left edge. The paper is slightly creased, but otherwise in good condition. The media remain generally strong and fresh. Framed.
Italian School:
The paper is in overall good condition and the media remain strong.
Executed on paper which is laid down on a wooden framework on the verso. There is some discoloration to the paper along the upper edge and a tiny tear in the upper edge. There are a few tiny foxmarks and smudges (mostly less than a millimetre), but the paper is in otherwise good condition. The pigments remain generally fresh. Framed.
