The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is in overall fair condition; the pigments have slightly faded.
Executed on wove paper and not laid down. The sheet is fixed to its mount with two small strips of sticky tape along the upper edge of the recto. There are some remnants of strips of tape along the upper edge of the verso. There are paper losses along all edges and there are some scattered scratches across the sheet. There is some uneven discoloration to the paper and there is some scattered surface dirt. The pigments have faded, but remain otherwise fairly strong. Framed.

Executed on laid paper and not laid down. The sheet is fixed to its mount with strips of tape along the upper edge of the verso and at the centres of the left- and right edges of the recto. There are some creases along the edges and there is a vertical crease from the upper to the lower edge. There are some retouched tears in the lower left edge and there is some scattered surface dirt (mainly along the left edge). Apart from some further nicks and tears along the edges the paper is generally in fairly good condition. The media have slightly faded, but they remain otherwise strong. Framed.
