The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A view of Sorrento from the South-West:
Executed on wove paper and fully backed with a sheet of wove paper. The sheet is in generally good condition and the pigments remain generally strong and fresh. However, the upper edge has been cut and fixed to the sheet with strips of tape at the verso. There are some scattered specks, possibly mould, and there is a scratch at the centre of the sheet. Framed.

Executed on wove paper and fully backed with a sheet of wove paper. The sheet is in generally good condition and the pigments remain generally strong and fresh. However, there are some scattered unobtrusive creases and scratches. There is some very slight uneven discoloration to the paper and there are some tiny unobtrusive pigment losses along the edges. Framed.
