The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The Grotta del Cane, near Naples:
The paper is in generally good condition and the pigments remain strong and fresh. There is some scattered foxing, but the overall condition is otherwise good. Framed.
The Herculaneum Gate at Pompeii:
The paper is in generally good condition and the pigments remain strong and fresh. There are some tiny scattered pigment losses along the edges and there is a very unobtrusive, almost invisible discoloration at the upper left edge. There are strips of tape along the edges of the verso, but the sheet is in otherwise good condition overall. Framed.
An imaginary view of the Colosseum, Rome:
The sheets is in generally good condition and the pigments remain strong. There is some occasional abrasion to the paper and there are strips of tape along the edges of the verso and in the upper two corners of the verso. Framed.
