Nicole Kidman wore this gown to attend the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on 12 November 2009. When commenting on her Spring-Summer 2010 collection, Scott said, ‘I was researching 18th century colours for my house. I was very influenced by Madame du Barry, who fashioned this colour called Du Barry Red. She was the first to put it on walls, to wear it as clothes and I decided to call my collection after her. I always start with colour and then design fabrics and then the clothes. It’s always what I’m surrounded by, by art, by nature, by travel.’
