Lot Essay

This gown is redolent of sheath dresses from her 'Bois de Boulogne' collection, Autumn-Winter 2009-10. However, this more extreme version did not appear on the runway. Scott was dramatically photographed wearing it for Vogue by Annie Leibowitz, April 2009. She said of her ideal silhouette, 'For me it's always about a waistline. I like to see a woman's figure, no matter what her size.'
