This dress is from L'Wren Scott's second collection. It was worn by Nicole Kidman to attend the film premiere 'Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus', 13 October 2006, at the Rome Film Festival in Italy. It is the first L'Wren Scott 'Red Carpet' gown ever to be worn by Kidman and was heavily featured in the press at the time, including British Vogue, August 2007.
When reminiscing in 2013 about her decision to launch her label L'Wren said, 'I was making so many clothes for my clients that I thought I didn’t have a lot to lose in life by trying, more to lose in life by wondering what might have been.' In 2011 Nicole Kidman commented 'L'Wren and I have been dear friends for years now. She knows what aspects to accentuate in a woman and is able to make you feel incredibly sexy and sophisticated when you are in one of her exquisite designs.' (Stella Magazine, November 2011).
