Ascending and Descending

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Sheet floats freely. Faintly mat-stained and light-stained. Artist's tack-holes along the upper and lower edges, to the center left and right edges, and in the upper quadrants. A few small nicks to the extreme edges. Left upper and right edges deckled; left and right edges irregular. A few handling creases and scuff marks in places. Scattered faint pinpoints of foxing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
