The painting is executed in oil paint on canvas. The canvas has been relined in the past, which was done very neatly; retaining all impastos.
There are some smaller retouches at the bottom edge of the painting. The upper left corner seems to have had a tear in the past and this area has been retouched. There are some small retouches between the trees, in the middle part. In the middle upper part in the sky, there seems to be an old damage, namely four small scratches.
Overall the paint layer has been very well preserved, with beautiful impastos and the painting is very presentable.
The adhesion of the paint layer to the canvas is good.
The painting consists of a yellowed varnish layer and a layer of surface dirt.
All observations were made with the naked eye and under UV light.
