The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The painting has been subject to a relining (glue). The paint surface appears well preserved throughout and the craquelures network is now stable.
The painting is covered in a thin, probably sprayed coat varnish. We can observe some scattered surface dirt over the varnish (especially upper centre in the clouds). We can observe some old restauration slightly discoloured to the sky, especially on the left part of the composition.
Examination under UV light reveals the afore mentioned restoration on the left side (a thin vertical one at 4,5 cm. from the edge) as some others scattered in the sky, following the craquelures network.
The boats and figures have not been recently restored and appear in a nice overall condition under UV light.
