The burlap has been relined with muslin. In natural light no obvious damages or retouchings can be detected. The paint layer is secure and in good condition. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are retouchings visible in places, most notably along the lower right edge and in the lower left corner. There are traces of water damage in the lower area, most visible on the reverse. It is our opinion that the work is in generally good condition.
