Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on panel. The panel is straight. The varnish has slightly yellowed. In natural light no obvious damages or retouching visible except for very minor frame abrasions visible along the edges. The original impasto and pigments are very nicely preserved. The paint layer is secure and in good condition. Overall the painting appears to be in good and authentic condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals aformentioned very minor frame abrasions. Varnish lights up green making a more detailed reading difficult.
