The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel consists of two sheets of wood joined vertically, bevelled on all four sides. The panel is very slightly warped.
The somewhat glossy varnish has yellowed considerably with time.
In natural light no obvious damages or retouchings can be detected. The original pigments and impasto appears to be beautifully preserved.
Inspection under UV light reveals very discreet retouching to the panel join, to the outer left edge in the upper left corner. In addition to very few tiny pinpoint retouchings locally in the composition.
The painting appears to be in an excellent and very authentic state of preservation and would benefit from a cleaning.
