The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There are three paint losses along the lower horizontal edge, the first circa 1 x 4cm., the second 0.7 x 2cm. and the third is 0.3 x 0.3cm. There is a flaking crack left of the second paint loss. There is a craquelure visible in the middle of the ointment jar. There are few spots of surface dirt in places. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting.
