The canvas has not been lined. The varnish is slightly yellowed. In natural light no obvious damages or retouchings can be detected, except for some very soft stretcher marks and a small discoloured cosmetic retouching near the right verticale edge. Examination under ultraviolet light shows an unevenly applied varnish, and the aforementioned retouching near the right verticale edge. The original impasto and pigments appear to be nicely preserved.
