The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on canvas laid down on panel. The panel consists of 1 sheet of wood. The varnish is slightly yellowed. In natural light no obvious damages are visible except for a few small scattered discolored cosmetic retouchings. The original pinholes are visible in the corners. The original impasto and pigments appear to be nicely preserved. Inspection under UV light reveals in addition to the aforementioned retouchings small scattered retouchings. Varnish lights up green, making a more detailed reading difficult.
