The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. shows normal signs of wear, some scratches.
- Fittings: hook fittings, for pierced ears; brooch with single pin and safety-catch.
- Additional marks: earrings with hook fittings, for pierced ears; brooches with single pin and safey-catch.
- Ruby and synthetic ruby: with typical inclusions, some surface reaching and a few small chips.
- Diamond: bright and lively.
- Onyx: in good condition, a few very small chips.
