The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note that this work is being sold as received by Christie's from the consignor. Any visible wear is consistent with age and typical for objects of this type. The Maillets did not undertake any cleaning or restoration, and no conservation work has been carried out by Christie’s. The Maillets were selective in their acquisitions, avoiding pieces in significantly poor condition. As we are not professional conservators, we recommend that you consult with an external specialist or conservator should you wish to receive a more expert and detailed evaluation.
