Le tableau est sur sa toile d'origine. Au revers, on constate des coutures de toiles horizontales et verticales à environ 10 cm du bord supérieur et 12 cm du bord droit. On devine une couture de toile dissimulée par le châssis le long du bord gauche.

Le tableau possède une jolie matière dans l'ensemble, on constate quelques salissures dans la partie gauche. Le paysage a l'arrière-plan est bien préservé.

L'examen à la lumière UV révèle des restaurations le long des coutures de toile, ainsi qu'une restauration réparant possiblement une déchirure dans la partie droite au niveau du drapé.
Le tableau est sous un vernis fin, partiellement nettoyé. Traces d'ancien vernis sur les éléments de nature morte et les faïences dans la partie gauche.

The canvas is unlined. To the reverse two canvas seams can be seen, one approximately 10 cm. from the upper edge and one approximately 12 cm. in from the right-hand edge. The stretcher appears to cover a third seam in from the left-hand edge.

The paint surface appears well preserved. The painting carries some dirt, notably in the left-hand side of the composition. The landscape appears to be in good condition.

Examination under UV light reveals some restoration along the aforementioned canvas seams. There is also a zone of restoration, possibly corresponding to a historic tear, to the right in the drapery. The whole is under a fine varnish that has been partailly cleaned. There are traces of an old varnish over the still life elements to the left.
