The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Spot regilding. The foot-rim possibly enlarged with traces of rivets on the central part. Some light surface bruising and pitting consistent with age and use. The bolts holding cup to stem and foot to stem as well as finial to cover later replacement. Cup not completely vertical. Four small splits to the rim of the cover and one longer running around one bosse. Some traces of old restorations now hidden by the gilding. Some of the leaves of the calyxes slightly bent. Flower bouquet finial lacking on flower and with small reinforcement solder.
