Le tableau est peint sur sa toile d'origine. Il est sur son châssis d'origine à écharpe. Au revers, on constate des restaurations sur la toile dans les coins supérieurs gauche et droit.
La toile est légèrement distendue. A l'oeil nu, le tableau possède une jolie matière avec de beaux empâtements. Il est très encrassé et pourrait bénéficier d'un nettoyage.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle une restauration dans le coin supérieur gauche au niveau de la restauration au revers de la toile précédemment mentionnée, ainsi qu'une petite restauration dans l'élément d'architecture en bas à gauche. Le tableau est sous un vernis épais, uniforme pouvant dissimuler des campagnes de restaurations plus anciennes.

The canvas is unlined and on its original stretcher. To the reverse, two repairs to the canvas can be seen in the upper left and right corners. The canvas tension is slightly uneven.
The painting presents very well in natural light, having retained the impasto and original fluidity of execution. The surface is very dirty and would benefit from a light clean.
Examination under UV light reveals an area of restoration in the top left corner, corresponding to the aforementioned repair to the canvas, as well as a small restoration in the architectural element at bottom left. The painting is covered in a thick, uniform varnish which may conceal earlier restoration work.
