The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur une toile ayant été rentoilée. Le rentoilage a été un peu sec et a pu tasser la matière picturale par endroit. La tension de la toile est également un peu forte. La peinture a préservé cependant des tons vibrants et des empâtements, notamment dans le vase.
Le tableau est sous un vernis ancien, blanchâtre et opacifiant.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle que les feuilles et tiges sombres de la composition ont toutes été renforcées.
On constate également des petites retouches dans le vase ainsi que dand les fonds pour combler des anciennes craquelures.
Le tableau est sous un vernis partiellement nettoyé, trace de vieux vernis dans les fonds, le vase et la partie inférieure.

ENGLISH
The canvas has been subject to relining. It is held under quite strict tension on a keyed stretcher. The relining process has slightly flattened some of the upper paint layers. However, the painting has retained its vibrant colours and certain elements of impasto, particularly in the vase.
The painting is covered with an old, quite opaque varnish.
Examination under UV light reveals that the dark leaves and stems in the composition have all been strengthened.
There is minor scattered retouching in the vase and in infill in the craquelure in the background.
The painting is covered with a partially cleaned varnish; traces of old varnish remain in the background, the vase and the lower section.
