The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The skull :
Good overall condition. There are the inevitable surface scratches, dents and rubbed areas consistent with age and handling.
Minor casting flaws, some with patches.
The black and white enamel of the top element with refreshment.
As stated in the catalogue the lower jaw is articulated.

The coral and box :
Some surface scratchs.
With missing elements to the coral. Some coral and shells have to be reattached.
The pewter box is tarnished with some missing inlaid silver elements.
