The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Marks clear to legible; engraving clear. Assay scrape on fork and spoon.
The cup of heavy gauge and with very light surface bruises and scratches; light wear to motif on underside. Small nicks to the rim. The spoon with wear to the bowl now slightly uneven from use, the lip possibly restored, possible solder repair at junction of bowl to handle. The fork with small nicks, small surface split to one tine; tips of tines even. The knife with some bruises and scratches. the blade with the usual pitting.
The case with light wear to the outside and some scuff marks; some layers may have been added during restoration; the paper lining later and with some rips.
