Le tableau est sur sa toile d'origine mais il semble avoir fait l'objet d'un rentoilage à une période avant d'avoir été dérentoilé. Le tableau est sur un châssis à clés rapporté récent.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des retouches dans les fonds ayant légèrement viré, ainsi que des restaurations le long des bords correspondant sans doute à d'anciens frottements de l'encadrement. Le tableau possède néanmoins une jolie matière, avec notamment de jolis empâtements dans les citrons et les pièces de céramique.

A l'UV, le tableau apparaît sous un vernis vert épais. Certains éléments semblent avoir fait l'objet d'un léger allègement de vernis : le citron au centre de la composition et le verre en haut à droite. On constate des retouches récentes par dessus le vieux vernis dans la partie inférieure, la plus importante étant celle située à 20 cm. du côté gauche. Une autre restauration un peu débordante est visible à l'UV à 7 cm. au-dessus du coin inférieur droit.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés, travail moderne (approx. 75 x 58 cm.).

The painting is unlined, but appears to have been lined previously, and has therefore undergone de-lining. The canvas is held under tension on a modern keyed stretcher, and is stable.

In natural light, retouching can be seen in the background, as well as restorations along the edges, probably corresponding to historic frame abrasion. Nonetheless, the painting has a lovely texture, with attractive impasto in the lemons and ceramic pieces.

Under UV light, the painting is covered in a thick varnish, that has been partially cleaned over certain elements, i.e. the lemon in the centre of the composition and the glass in the top right. Recent retouching over the old varnish can be seen in the lower portion of the composition, most notably 20 cm from the left side. Another small area of restoration is visible under UV light 7 cm above the lower right corner.

In a modern giltwood and stucco frame (approx. 75 x 58 cm.).
