Le tableau est peint sur un panneau d'acajou d'une planche, biseauté le long des quatre bords. Le support est stable, tout comme la surface picturale. On constate cependant un petit éclat à 4 cm du bord inférieur.

A l'oeil nu, on ne constate pas de retouches récentes. On constate des traces de crayon noir.

A l'UV, on ne constate pas de retouches récentes. Le tableau semble avoir fait l'objet d'un léger nettoyage. Le tableau est sous un vernis partiellement nettoyé au niveau du chien, le fond vert et la signature étant sous un vernis plus ancien.

Dans un cadre de travail moderne en bois et en laiton (approx. 24 x 30 x 4 cm.).

The painting is painted on a mahogany panel made of one board, beveled to each edge. The support is stable as is the paint surface. In natural light there is a small chip to the panel 4 cm. above the lower edge.
There is no evidence of recent retouching. Traces of the original pencil drawing can be seen.
Examination under UV light confirms the above. The painting appears to have been delicately cleaned. The vanrish has been partially cleaned around the dog, the green background and the signature are beneath an older varnish.
In a modern brass frame (approx. 24 x 30 x 4 cm.).
