The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un dérentoilage. Il est sur un châssis rapporté. Le support est stable. La tension est maintenue par des bandes de tension.
A la lumière rasante, on constate les marques de l’ancien châssis.
A l’œil nu, le réseau de craquelures est stable. On constate quelques repeints dans les bruns ayant légèrement viré au niveau des rochers. La partie supérieure est légèrement encrassée dans le ciel, en ce compris dans les nuages.
A l’UV, on constate des restaurations le long des marques de châssis précédemment mentionnées. Des retouches ponctuelles sont visibles dans les fonds, les nuages et les drapés. Des retouche plus importantes sont visibles dans le coin inférieur gauche (rocher, main) (photo disponible sur demande).
La matière est stable.
Dans un cadre en bois doré rectangulaire à vue ovale (approx. 120 x 98 x 9,5 cm).

The canvas has been delined and strip lined, it is held under correct tension on its stretcher.
The old stretcher marks can be seen to the painted surface when viewed in a raking light.
In natural light a network of craquelure can be seen, this is stable. There is some retouching that can be seen in the browns, this has slightly discoloured with age, notably in the rocks. The upper half of the painting carries some dirt.
Under UV light, retouching can be seen along the previously mentioned stretcher marks. Scattered retouching is visible in the background, clouds and drapery. More significant retouching is visible in the lower left corner (rock, hand) (photo available on request).
The paint is stable.
In a rectangular giltwood frame (approx. 120 x 98 x 9.5 cm).
