The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de bois préparé, légèrement biseauté le long du bord gauche.
Du côté de la matière picturale, on constate que le panneau présente un manque d'approx. 4 cm de hauteur le long du bord gauche. Cette zone est recouverte de matière et ne perturbe donc pas la lecture de l'oeuvre.
A l'oeil nu, le tableau se présente dans un bel état. Le côté doux et léger de la composition reste pleinement appréciable. Les détails de la guirlande et du costume de la danseuse sont bien préservés.
On constate un léger réseau de craquelures dans les parties claires, associées par endroits à des comblements ayant viré.
Le tableau est sous un vernis épais, brillant.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle au moins deux campagnes de restauration : la première, plus ancienne, dans la végétation à gauche ; la seconde, plus récente, est majoritairement visible dans le coin supérieur droit et les carnations, et plus ponctuellement dans les végétations. Certains éléments du costume ont été rehaussés dans le cadre de cette seconde campagne.
Le tableau est sous un vernis épais qui pourrait cacher des restaurations plus anciennes.
La matière reste stable.

The painting is executed on a prepared wooden panel, slightly beveled along the left edge.
On the pictorial surface, the panel shows a loss of approximately 4 cm in height along the left edge. This area has been repainted and it does not affect the legibility of the composition.
In natural light, the painting appears to be in good condition. The soft and delicate character of the composition remains fully appreciable. The details of the garland and the dancer’s costume are well preserved.
A fine network of craquelure can be seen in the lighter areas, there is some infill associated with this that has discoloured with age. The painting is covered with a thick, glossy varnish.
Examination under UV light reveals at least two restoration campaigns: the first, older one, in the foliage on the left; the second, more recent one, is mostly visible in the upper right corner and the flesh tones, and to a lesser extent in the foliage. Some elements of the costume were retouched during this second campaign. The thick varnish may conceal older restorations.
The paint remains stable.
