The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Marks clear to legible: on cover rim town mark slightly blurred. The initials KT possibly later engraved.
Small bruise to foot-rim. Tiny bruise to upper moulded border running above the scene. Wear to gilding on high and contact points. Bruising under the finial and with possibly later bolt. The finial with some later elements and with light bruising. Inside of the cover slightly bright. Heavy gauge.
