Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne parqueté.

A l’œil nu, on constate une ancienne jointure de planche au centre. On constate des restaurations dans le manteau de la Vierge et dans la tunique brune.

A l’UV, on constate des restaurations récentes dans les carnations de l’Enfant Jésus, dans la chevelure de la Vierge et dans les drapés en bas à gauche. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais dissimulant d’anciennes campagnes de restauration que l’on devine partiellement au niveau du manteau de la Vierge et du dais vert dans le fond.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc doré (approx. 86 x 70 cm.).

The painting has been executed on an oak panel which is cradled.

To the naked eye, we can see an old plank joint in the centre. There are restorations in the mantle of the Virgin and in the brown tunic.

Ultraviolet examination reveals recent restorations to the flesh tones of Jesus, to the Virgin's hair and to the drapery lower left. The painting is under a thick, green coat of varnish which precludes a more in depth examination of previous restoration campaigns that we guess in the mantle of the Virgin and in the green curtain in the back.

In a giltwood and golden stucco frame (approx. 86 x 70 cm.).
