The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne parqueté légèrement aminci. Le support est stable.
A l’œil nu, on constate une fente horizontale au milieu de la composition. Le tableau est sous un vernis un peu épais. On distingue mal les éventuelles anciennes restaurations à cause du vernis. Les parties vertes claires semblent avoir été reprises ainsi que les bleus du ciel.
A l’UV, on constate des restaurations le long de la jointure des planches. On constate d’anciennes restaurations dans les parties foncées du ciel et des retouches ponctuelles dans le ciel clair. Quelques lignes de drapés ont été rechargés dans le bleu du manteau de la vierge et les drapés de la partie rose semblent également avoir été légèrement remontés et ponctuellement retouchés. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais uniforme pouvant dissimuler d’éventuelles campagnes de restaurations antérieures.

The painting has been executed on an oak panel which has been cradled and slightly thinned out. The support remains stable.
To the naked eye, a split that runs horizontally us visible in the middle of the composition. The painting is under a rather thick layer of varnish, which precludes a more in depth examination of historic restoration campaigns. The light green areas seem retouched, just as the blue parts of the sky.
Ultraviolet examination reveals restoration to the joints of the planks. Historic restoration campaigns can be seen in the darker areas of the sky and some scattered restoration to the light parts of the sky is also visible. Some drapery lines have been strengthened in the blue coat of the Virgin, as well as in the pink parts that seem to have been slightly strengthened and retouched in a scattered way. The painting is under an even surface, thick, green layer of varnish which may preclude proper examination of any previous restoration campaigns.
