The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Notre tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage ancien.

A l'oeil nu, on constate un petit manque et quelques repeints le long des bords. La trame de la toile est légèrement déformée dans la partie supérieure, peut-être à cause du rentoilage.

A l'UV, on constate que certains éléments d'architecture ont été légèrement rechargés, de même que pour les personnages et leurs vêtements (particulièrement le costume rouge du personnage de gauche). On constate quelques retouches à l'arrière-plan de la composition. Sous un vernis vert avec quelques traces de vernis ancien dans des parties plus sombres.

Dans un cadre en bois de style nordique XVIIe (approx. 128 x 163 cm.).

Our painting has been subject to an old relining.

To the naked eye, we can see a small loss and some retouching along the edges. The weft of the canvas is slightly deformed in the upper part, maybe because of the relining process.

Ultraviolet examination reveals that some architecture elements, figures and clothes (especially the red clothing of the figure on the left) have been strengthened. Some retouching can be seen to the background of the composition. Under a green layer of varnish with some marks of old varnish in the darker parts.

In a wooden 17th Nordic style frame (approx. 128 x 163 cm.).
